Artemis is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Event Manager to join our team at the beautiful Clock Barn.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, calm under pressure, and confident working within a small, supportive team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing weddings and conferences of 100+ covers, along with a solid background in food-led establishments. A genuine passion for great food and excellent service is essential.

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Event Manager, with a background in catering for 100+ covers
A strong, approachable personality that allows you to work well with both clients and colleagues
Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Excellent attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem-solving
Warm, friendly, and professional manner
Ability to work independently and use own initiative
Knowledge and experience using CRM systems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good understanding of modern menus, dishes, current food and drink trends, and wine knowledge
Physically able to stand for 8–12 hours
Own transport is essential due to the location
Confident and comfortable with public speaking
Must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
Work confidently with company administrative systems and ensure all procedures align with policy
Train, brief, and delegate tasks to the events and service teams
Be fully knowledgeable about our brochure offerings and communicate them professionally with a sales-focused approach
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and accurately document details in line with company procedures
Deliver excellent dining room service in a warm, efficient manner for approximately 48 events per year
Proactively identify opportunities to meet client needs and exceed guest expectations
Manage billing, invoicing, and assist in assessing financial performance
Support the General Manager with facility management tasks where required
Hours
Based on a 5-day week, but this fluctuates given the needs of the business
Working an office day normally between 8.00am- 4.00pm (actual times subject to change)
Service direction and management at 48 events per year
